About the event

Nashville-area Terror Campers, join TC founder & director Allegra Rosenberg at the Vanderbilt University Museum of Art for a free event inspired by Terror Camp, held in conjunction with the Museum's current exhibit of polar art by TC keynote speaker Jessica Houston, "... no footprints, even."

This workshop (open to everyone but aimed at interested students, educators, heritage professionals, and polar fans) will explore the concept of media gateways into history and heritage. Discussing Terror Camp, the Queer History Club at London's National Maritime Museum, and other novel pedagogic approaches inspired by pop culture, fandom, and online communities, we'll work on brainstorming lesson plans and engagement strategies that take advantage of the power of enthusiasm.
